10-09-2010: 30 bins for the main street of Chokwe
New toilets and bins Chokwe
The city Chokwe celebrated its birthday on the 17th of August. As part of the celebrations schooltoilets were inaugurated on the 16th. Linda Baas, Elsa Macie, the mayor of Chokwe Mr. Macuacua and a few councilers were present. The schools are 2nd Bairro and 5o Bairro B in Chokwe. As part of the celebrations the project also handed over 30 bins for the main street of Chokwe.
Meeting community and neighbours
Location has been chosen for school toilets on 2 new schools in Chokwe. This was quite difficult because the schools have little space. A meeting was needed with community and neighbours.
Strategic plan Xai-Xai
On the 20th of August Xai-Xai had a presentation of their Strategic Plan for 2009-2019. Linda Baas and Troels Kolster participated.
New toilets and training hygiene aspects 
On the 20th of August inauguration of the school toilets on the U2 Inhambissa school in Xai-Xai. It took a few month to finish construction because the water company had difficulty extending the water network to the school. The school and community were very happy that the children now had a decent toilet and water to wash their hands after going to the toilet. The inauguration was combined with a community meeting of Amurt (partner organisation). On every school parents and community are also trained on hygiene aspects so they can support the children in the new practices they have learned at school.
09-09-2010: The city Inhambane 54 years
New toilets on schools Inhambane
The city of Inhambane celebrated it’s 54th birthday on the 12 th of August. As part of the celebrations there was an inauguration of the schooltoilets on the 11th of August. Elsa Macie and Mette Svendsen were present together with the Mayor of Inhambane Mr. Macule. 
The car broke down
On the way back to Xai-Xai the car broke down halfway between Inhambane and Xai-Xai. Elsa and Mette had to wait for 5 hours for someone to come and rescue. In Mozambique there is no ‘ANWB’ or ‘Routemobiel’ like in Holland. One of the Vitens colleagues had to come from Xai-Xai to pull the car.
15th School with toilets!
On the 4th October school in Xai-Xai a location has been chosen for the toilets. This is the 15th school already!
